DPV SPEED CONTROLLER BT

Custom settings modifications
via Bluetooth

CONNECTION

DPV SPEED CONTROLLER BT has a Bluetooth Low Energy wireless connectivity system. A universal, free “BLE Terminal” app for iOS and Android is used to modify the controller’s operation settings. Links to the app App Store Google Play Connection to the Bluetooth module of the Controller is made directly in the BLE Terminal app. Connection to the controller via Bluetooth is possible immediately after power up, flashing white light – Bluetooth active (waiting for connection), continuous light – Bluetooth connected (on SUEX scooters this can be observed through the control window in the engine compartment bulkhead). Each Controller has its own unique name (including serial number) and PIN. The serial number and PIN can be found on each controller and is also included in the controller’s manual. Once the correct PIN is entered, the Controller’s current settings are displayed.

Changing settings

Changing the settings is done by typing COMMAND:VALUE and confirming Send (character size is irrelevant). In the settings list, the command to be used to change the settings is given next to each function. After entering the command correctly, the program will return OK or ERR if the command or value is wrong.

Example:

G1:30 – change the value of the first gear to 30%

G4:80 – change the value of the fourth gear to 80%

Command description (Depending on the controller and software version, some commands may not be present):

SG – Start gears (initial gear, range from 1-8, select active gears)

G1, G2 … G8 – change the value of the gear ( range 0-100, changing the value to 0 disables a given gear and each subsequent gear will be treated as disabled)

RR – speed ramp-up rate (values 1-10)

ST – trigger response time (value 100 – 500)

DC – double click to start – double click starts the motor (values 0 – off, 1 – on)

SM – start with maximum speed – triple click with the motor stopped will start the maximum speed (values 0 – off, 1 – on)

CM – Locking the current speed “cruise control” – quadruple click will lock the current speed without holding the trigger – pressing the trigger again or a combination of clicks stops this function (values 0 – off, 1 – on).

BMIN – Enter the minimum battery voltage – depending on the battery type used, for new/working batteries the voltage can be assumed – for Li-ion – 19.5V, NiMH or PB – 18.5V. Exact information can be obtained by performing a burn test.

BMAX – Enter the maximum battery voltage – install a fully charged battery in the DPV, read its voltage via the BLE Terminal and enter.

HB – Half Battery Warning – enter the voltage value depending on the battery you have, when the set value is reached the red led will flash 5 times .

LB – Low Battery Warning – enter the voltage value depending on the battery you have, when the set value is reached the red led will light up (for Li-ion batteries 22.0V for NiMH 21.0V).

HBW – Half Battery Warning – enter the percentage at which you want the warning to appear (default 50%), when the set value is reached the red LED will flash (default 5 times).

LBW – Low Battery Warning – enter the percentage at which you want the warning to appear (default 25%), when the set value is reached a red LED will light.

NF – Number of Warning Flashes – Enter the number of half battery warning flashes (range 1-100).

NHBW /NLBW – Number of Half/Low Battery Warnings – Enter the number of half (default 20) / low (default 40) battery warnings (range 1-100, each warning is 10 short taps).

Battery Voltage / Level – Information about the level and voltage of the battery.

LIST – presents the current settings.

RESET – restores the default settings.
